I graduated from medical university in Wroclaw (Breslau) in Poland and am currently appointed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a special interest in glaucoma, based at Harrogate District Hospital and York Teaching Hospital. I am also a partner in the private Yorkshire Eye Specialists LLP. I undertook Glaucoma Fellowships in Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University in New York. I attended a charity programme supporting Khairabad Eye Hospital in Kanpur in India by performing high volume of cataract surgeries. I was granted by EBO (European Board of Ophthalmology) and attended the ophthalmic residents exchange programme in Eye & Ear Hospital in Dublin. I completed my PhD project on “Quality of life in glaucoma patients” at Wroclaw Medical University in Poland.
I perform high volume cataract surgeries and glaucoma surgeries such as MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgery: iStent inject, Xen gel stent, microshunt/preserflo), trabeculectomy, aqueous shunt devices (tube surgery) and laser procedures for glaucoma, such as SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty), PI (peripheral iridotomy) and capsulotomy.
