Dr Adelekan had his basic surgical training in the Lake District and the postgraduate higher speciality training in the North West region with rotations to well established breast units, including one year at the centre of excellence at the Nightingale Centre and Genesis Prevention Centre at the Wythenshawe Teaching Hospital, Manchester.

Dr Adelekan has been a consultant in oncoplastic breast and general surgery at the Harrogate District Hospital since 2012.
