Orthopaedic and Trauma Consultant
I am an experienced consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon and a lower limb specialist. My primary interest in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including sports injuries, joint replacement, deformity correction, arthroscopic (keyhole), minimally invasive and revision surgery. In addition, I have a secondary interest in arthroscopic knee surgery and knee replacement.
I undertook specialist fellowships in both foot and ankle surgery and knee surgery during my training. I offer consultation and treatment for both adult and younger patients. I’ve been a consultant at Harrogate District Hospital since 2010 and have busy practices in both Harrogate and Leeds. I have also previously represented the orthopaedic department as Clinical Lead and Governance Lead.
I work closely with a variety of specialist surgical colleagues, radiologists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and orthotists. I believe in providing the highest quality clinical information in an understandable manner. This includes excellent communication with thorough explanations of available options, allowing for informed choices to be made regarding treatment.
Finally, I am heavily involved in teaching and training and represent Harrogate on the Surgical Training Committee. I have widely presented research findings, taught and published, both nationally and internationally.
