I qualified from Bristol medical school in 1991, where I completed my house officer posts and taught in the department of anatomy. My basic surgical training was completed in Manchester, followed by a period of time in Plymouth, including a Wishbone Trust research fellowship into paediatric gait analysis.

My higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics was completed in Yorkshire.

My current practice includes treatment of the adult hip and knee arthritis, including hip and knee replacement.
