Dr Sharpe graduated from Leeds Medical School in 2004 with degrees in medicine and human anatomy.
He undertook junior medical training at the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust before joining the Yorkshire wide basic surgical training rotation. During this time he developed a strong interest in orthopaedic surgery and elected to carry out his higher training in radiology with a special interest in musculoskeletal work.
In 2007 he secured a place on the highly competitive and nationally renowned Leeds Radiology Training scheme. Following Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, Dr Sharpe dedicated his final two years of training to specialising in musculoskeletal radiology.
In August 2012 Dr Sharpe was appointed as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Harrogate District Hospital where he serves as clinical lead for musculoskeletal imaging. As an NHS consultant and a partner in Yorkshire Radiology, he enjoys a close working relationship with colleagues in orthopaedic surgery, ensuring that patients are guaranteed the highest standards.
Dr Sharpe carries out all forms of diagnostic musculoskeletal imaging with particular emphasis on ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
