I trained in India for eight years before moving to the UK in 1998. I completed my medical training in the UK and followed it with five years of gastroenterology training in Yorkshire.

I was appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist at HDFT in 2010. I have enjoyed and continuing to enjoy working in Harrogate and Yorkshire.

I was appointed as the Training Programme Director for Gastroenterology in 2016.

In 2019, I was appointed as the Clinical Lead for the Rapid Diagnostic pathway at HDFT in collaboration with the Harrogate CCG.
